Terlebih Urban

For the last 2 weeks, every Thursday at 9.30 pm, mmg confirm aku akan duduk depan 8tv juz to watch Blogger Boy. Ok, its a new tv series actually. It looks kindda interesting to me and agak berlainan la compare to other local tv series that i watched before. So, dengan sgt excited la aku tunggu depan tv mase the first episode. Cerite tu 30 mins je. Mase first episode, aku dah mcm x berape senang la dgn cerite tu.

You know why? Ok, im totally aware that 8tv punye fomat is totally different compare to RTM and their target audience is for the 'Urbans'. Sometimes aku rase idea diorg ni terlebih la. Ok main character is Budi, lelaki bujang yg tinggal satu rumah dgn member dia known as Kid. Both of them tgh nak cari org utk sewakan bilik, and at last Budi bagi his long lost friend yg sewa bilik tu. The thing is, kawan dia tu is a girl known as Nina. Budi used to have crush on Nina back in their high school then biase la lost contact then they meet again after so many years lost contact. And Budi senang2 je bagi Nina sewa that room and to make it worse, Budi still have feelings for Nina. Member dia Kid pon kindda like Nina as well. And the problem is they are all living in the same house!


I taught i was watching One Tree Hill or Friends. Ok, wait a minute, la....ceite melayu ke? Geleng kepala je aku. Ok, its not like aku ni ustazah nak bg preech sane preech sini but i think what they did is so wrong. Its like they are promoting the ideology of men and women living together is acceptable even when there is more then 2 people. But still, i think its not right. Back then, i dont think Malaysia pernah buat cerite yg promote idea mcm ni. If i ask 8tv why they allow this to be on their channel, obviously their excuse will be 'Its just a story, x yah la ikut kalau x suke'. Memanglah, manusia ade akal boleh fikir mane baik mane x. but media is really important in shaping the culture. Sometimes people are not aware and conscious about this. Especially young teenager yg still too naive and fragile. They might think that living together boys and girls will be ok mcm cerite Friends. Instead of juz buat cerite yg lawak but no moral values then wuts the point?

People always said that 'Alang2 menyeluk pekasam, biar smpi ke pangkal lengan'. Ape salahnye buat cerite yg tunjuk kan betul2 ape yg org melayu terapkan dalam budaya? Have you ever seen 8tv buat cerite yg betul2 ade scene berunsurkan melayu or islamic? Let me recall back drama2 melayu from 8tv. Alam, Ghost, Kami, and dont get me start with Gol and Gincu. All this story mcm nak celup ceite from Hollywood je. 8tv skrg dah ade prom nite programme. Hmm, ape lagi nak ckp kan? From what i know 8tv is handle by a muslim guy. Ahmad Izham Omar. Sometimes when i watched 8tv i feel like im watching Hollywood channel. You guys should try and watch it. Then u'll know.

Idea of this story is from Rafidah Abdullah. She's a host of 3r programme before. Cerite Gol and Gincu pun idea asal dia jugak. Dia ni study kat oversea course about scripwriting or broadcasting. Im not sure la. But so far, aku tgk cerite dia nie smua berunsurkan Hollywood. All the women smua nak pkai sexy memanjang. Enough la. Tunjuk la something yang ade nampak mcm drama melayu. I didnt expect it to be drama melayu yg sedih nangis2, cuz byk dah cerite melayu yg mcm tu. I know that their intention is to do something new and fresh and yeah...urban. But there is a way to make that and not by celup2 idea fom Hollywood. Susah nak tgk scene drama kat 8tv yg the character tu pakai tudung or pakai telekung tgh sembahyang or character tu tgh mengaji or... alah u know what i mean kan... ni asyik scene kat club, gig, breakdance, and mcm2 lg lah...

Ok, ok... this is just my opinion. Korang tgk and nilai la sendiri. But seriously, if i have a chance to make a drama for tv, aku akan buat something yg way better. Ok la bukan nak perasan. Maksud aku, aku akan buat drama yg ade tunjuk kan ciri2 melayu tu. To me thats important. If only...(sigh). Ok, i think its long enough so im gonna stop now.

P/s : I still watch Blogger Boy cause the story is interesting and my Nas T is Kid actually. Its the scenes that bothers me. I still support local drama. Malaysia Boleh. Boleh ape? U judge!
